Welcome to the CYHA Jr. Stingrays Tier II Travel Program 2024-2025 Tryout Application!

The Charleston Youth Hockey Association will be conducting a tryout for players wishing to be considered for a position on a Jr. Stingrays Travel Team at any level. All players that wish to be considered are required to attend all days of tryouts and should make arrangements to do so at the designated times. The registration fee is $75 for all players. All applicants must register for and pay on-line.

Registration will close on Sunday, May 5th @ 11:59 PM

This registration session will allow you to complete contact information, sign up for participation, and submit payment. Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately. To complete registration through our secure site, please have your Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or checking account information available.  Following the completion of this registration, you will see a charge on your account from Charleston Youth Hockey.

Each age group will have 3 tryout sessions.  The breakdown of each session could be as follows:

• Day 1: 75% Skills – 25% Game like
• Day 2: 25% Skills – 25% Game like – 50% Scrimmage
• Day 3: 100% Scrimmage
• Actual percentages may be adjusted based on skill level of the participants.

Detailed schedule will be distributed in the near future to all registered participants.

May 10th-12th

Additional dates will be made available if player call-backs are deemed necessary. Tryouts will be conducted by designated/non partial evaluators.

Each Player must register first with USA Hockey and then return to this Registration Session to signup for the 2024-2025 Season. You may use a 2023-2024 USA Hockey membership # for tryouts. A current 2024-2025 USA Hockey will be needed to register for a team once an offer is made.

• Step 1:  CLICK HERE to go to USA Hockey Registration and register your player(s). Be sure to PRINT and SAVE their confirmation code(s). Remember to register EACH of your players with USA Hockey. Each player must have their own unique USA Hockey confirmation number.
• Step 2:  Return to this registration and proceed. Later in this registration session you will need to enter the USA Hockey Confirmation Code that you received in Step 1.
